Red Star boxes have been making the rounds at Quad City area Aldi’s the past few years. The photo above shows two 30-yard dumpsters at the Avenue of the Cities, Moline Aldi location. The store was remodeled this summer to expand its square footage and to give space for more refrigerated items.
Over the past year the Rock Island Moline and Davenport stores have been remodeled and Red Star has been on site. The Quad-City Times reported that Aldi was investing $12.5 million to update 10 stores in the bi-state Quad City region this year. The construction at the Moline Aldi was completed this past June Red Star was excited to share in the Grand Re-Opening on June 13th.
